Your visit to this year's World Jazz Conference
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to this year’s World Jazz Conference, an initiative by the World Jazz Network. This year’s conference consists of a closed and public program, including informative talks and introductions, presentations and networking opportunities. The WJN conference is initiated by JazzNL and hosted by the Amersfoort World Jazz Festival.
What's WJN doing in 2024?
The purpose of this year’s conference is to spark open discussions and exchange ideas on how to enhance the global mobility of world and jazz music and strengthening our partnerships with jazz organizations and venues. It encourages professionals, as well as musicians from various backgrounds, to come together and share each other’s perspectives, visions and requirements for future collaborations.
When and where?
This year’s conference will take place on Friday Augustus 16th and Saturday August 17th in Observant (Stadhuisplein 7, 3811 LM Amersfoort)
Official opening
To kick off the conference in a festive manner, we invite all of our partners, professionals, musicians and media to join us for the official opening on Thursday, August 15th, starting at 16:30 pm at ‘home of jazz’ Observant.
Digital conference
On Day 2 of the conference (August 17th), we will be hosting a digital conference with video recording. This will take place in a specially equipped video room at the Observant, where we invite all new partners to introduce themselves, showcase their festival initiatives, and discuss other pertinent topics for the WJN.
Practical info
Our registration desk is located on the 1st floor of Observant. Registration opens on Thursday, August 15th, starting from 15:00. Upon registration, you will receive wristbands and some coins. The wristband grants access to all concerts and venues throughout the event!

All festival venues will open their doors 30 minutes prior to the start of the first concert. Accessible facilities are available at all venues to accommodate visitors with physical disabilities. Please note that all concert venues have a limited number of seated and standing places. Access may be denied when concerts are sold out. If there is a concert you are particularly interested in attending, please inform our team, and we will do our very best to arrange a seat for you.
Observant will provide a breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet on the top floor. Breakfast is set between 09:00 and 10:30, we will provide each partner with a voucher.
