Festival Assad – Brazil

The Assad Festival, an annual event in Brazil, celebrates instrumental music. It is considered one of the country’s most significant gatherings of instrumental musicians and takes place in São João da Boa Vista, a city in the interior of São Paulo state.
Fafá and Vania Noronha conceived the Assad Festival to honor instrumental music. The inaugural edition took place in 2012. The festival’s name is a tribute to the Assad Family, renowned musicians including the Assad Duo, Badi Assad, and Clarice Assad, who have roots in São João da Boa Vista, where the event is held.
