Every year in Trutnov, Jazzinec unfolds, marking itself as one of the most esteemed cultural happenings in the entire region. Its innovative programming introduces a new theme to each festival edition, offering increasingly profound artistic encounters to its discerning audience.
Established in 1999, the festival initially spanned a weekend, featuring performances across Trutnov’s squares and other public spaces. Over time, it evolved into a nearly continuous series of events, stretching from February to April, and later extending to include an autumn segment in October and November. Alongside these events, Jazzinec also encompasses the JAZZ WORLD PHOTO competition and traveling exhibition, workshops for musicians, listening sessions, exhibitions, and various accompanying activities.
